Visiting Garden Tour
April 12 - 13, 2022
Our garden club hosted 20 ladies from the Pasadena Garden Club for three days of garden tours! Thanks to the late rain and recent heat wave all of the gardens were in full bloom! The roses behaved beautifully as did the wisteria and boxwood! Wow!
We toured Bellosguardo and had an amazing lunch thanks to Field and Fort. (Delicious home-made cookies; thanks to Leslie Schneiderman!) We also got to see a hidden gem; an Addison Mizner estate not usually opened for viewing.
Our own members’ homes and gardens were incredible! Amy and Mike Mayfield hosted a cocktail party at their spectacular home the first evening. Thanks so much to Sue McKinley, Amy Mayfield, Cheryl Ziegler, Susie Bechtel and Betsy Coates for entertaining us all so beautifully and for allowing us all to explore your wonderful gardens! Sharon

Pop Up On The Pass
February 17, 2022
On February 17th, Alex Geremia hosted visitors from our club at her garden located on San Marcos Pass. Her unique garden, developed on a sun filled knoll above Lake Cachuma, is filled with blooming aloes, agaves and collections of Baucarneas and Brachychitons. A ‘hands on’ gardener, Alex has also filled the garden with a joy filled collection of garden art. She has agreed to allow us to document her garden for the Smithsonian so stay tuned!
